Creating a multimedia project is no simple task. It takes time, research,

organizational skills, and all three competencies, Ability, Skill, and Knowledge competency, for an instructional designer to execute powerful multimedia. The options are endless and can potentially ruin a great median if too many applications are implemented in one project.

In this Module, I learned about three applications I would have never thought of using before this assignment. 360 images, Articulate 360 (Rise) and AR/VR ( CoSpaces).

I am super excited about the 360 images. Who knew some apps for this medium were free to use? I am also very enthusiastic about the Rise application, and I am eager to begin creating lessons. I made an account, and it's free for 30 days. I am also anxious to use the CoSpaces in my classroom. I have created an account using my MISD account to have my students create spaces. I will, unfortunately, have to wait after STAAR testing, which will be next month. I believe my students will LOVE this.

The suggested application for the following categories:

  1. Video: With Loom, you can record your screen, voice, and face to create an instantly shareable video in less time than it would take to type an email.

  2. Audio - Although there are many apps available to record your voice, I came across this app, and it is free. Online voice recording is different than other voice recording apps because it has many tools to change the way you want your recordings.

  3. Stock Photo - A copyright is a form of legal protection automatically provided to the authors or creators of original works. Copyright protection is broad and very general. It applies to original literary, dramatic, musical, choreographic, photographic, architectural, and artistic works. It is essential to ask the artist for permission if you want to use it for whatever reason. For this reason, one must know how to find work that can be used. I learned that many platforms provide photos we can use without the hassle of getting ourselves from getting sued for not getting authorization. I found the Internet Archive valuable as it allows for thousands of images. I enjoyed that it also has anchor charts for educators to use.

  4. Animation -Autodesk- Although this software is expensive, the app allows you to create complex characters. And as of October 2020, If you're a current student, you may be able to access Autodesk Maya for free.

  5. 360 Images - THETA offers a 14-day free trial that includes access for up to 100 users. This application enables you to capture a virtual tour anyplace, anywhere.

  6. Articulate 360- (Rise) Also offers a free trial subscription. This app is compatible with all tech devices such as phones, tablets, computers, and laptops, and the designs are professional-looking. The layouts are simple, and the website provides many resources for assistance in creating a great-looking course.
